Summary
Red Valley IT Toolbox does not collect, transmit or share any personal data. It has no network access at all, and no user accounts. Everything you type into it stays on your device.

What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, store, process or share personal data of any kind. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no advertising identifier, and no third-party software development kit of any sort in the app.
We have no way to identify you, and no server that could receive data about you even in principle.
The app cannot connect to the internet
The app is built without the Android INTERNET permission. This is not a policy promise that we could quietly change in the background — without that permission the Android operating system will not let the app open a network connection at all. There is no backend service, no remote configuration and no content loaded from anywhere.
Permissions
Red Valley IT Toolbox requests no Android permissions whatsoever. It has no access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, call logs, messages, photos, files, installed applications or device identifiers.
What is stored on your device
The app saves a small number of interface preferences so it looks the way you left it — currently your choice of theme (system, light or dark). These are held in the app's own private storage, are never transmitted anywhere, and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
The app does not save anything you enter into the tools. Generated passwords and passphrases, text you hash, Base64 content, IP addresses and generated identifiers exist only in memory while the app is open, and are gone when it closes. Nothing you enter is written to a log file.
Automatic backup to Google Drive and device-to-device transfer are both switched off for this app, so even your theme preference does not leave the device.
Features that involve other apps on your device
Four things in the app hand information to software outside it, always because you asked for it. In each case the information goes to a part of your own device or to an app you choose — never to Red Valley.
Copy. Copying a result places it on the Android clipboard, which is managed by the operating system and may be read by an app you paste into. Generated passwords and passphrases are flagged as sensitive so that Android 13 and later keep them out of the on-screen clipboard preview.
Share. The share button opens the standard Android share sheet and passes the text to whichever app you pick. That app's own privacy policy then applies.
Hashing a file. If you hash a file, you choose it through the Android document picker. The app is granted access to that one file only, reads it to calculate the hash, and does not copy, move, keep or transmit it.
The website link. Tapping the Red Valley address in the About screen opens your browser. You are then on our website, and our website's own privacy practices apply.
Children
The app is a general-purpose utility for IT professionals and students. It is not directed at children, and because it collects no data it does not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. If a future version were ever to collect any data, we would say so here plainly and before it shipped.
